Ring Dance" sculpture by the late Dallas Anderson at the center of this park a couple blocks from campus. The circa 1996 bronze depicts six children prancing in a circle beneath the mist of a cooling fountain. The blissful children look nude at first glance, but indeed are wearing bathing suits. It is a perverse work of public art. The little girl on the vintage post card in her blue pinafore, tights, and formal stance gazes into the fountain as if envisioning a less restrained, more gregarious time for children nearly 100 years later.
